Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all users of the website www.archpilates.co.uk, all studio visitors, and any individuals booking, attending, or purchasing classes or services provided by Arch Pilates Limited, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 16960514, with its registered address at 13 Autumn Fields, Waverley, Rotherham, England, S60 8DN (“Arch Pilates", "we", "our", or “us"). By accessing our website or attending our classes, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Use of Website
- The website is for your personal, non-commercial use only.
- You agree not to misuse the site, including attempting to gain unauthorised access, introducing viruses, or interfering with site functionality.
- We do our best to ensure the site is accurate and up to date, but we reserve the right to make changes at any time without prior notice.
Studio Etiquette
- For safety reasons, we cannot allow late entry to class so please ensure you arrive 5-10 minutes in advance of your class start time.
- If you are joining us for your first class, please arrive 10 minutes before your class starts so we can show you around. Your instructor will talk you through the reformer, and ensure they know everything they need to know about your experience, any medical information, etc.
- We will provide all the equipment you need, please just ensure you have grip socks and are wearing appropriate clothing to participate in your glass. Grip socks are on sale at the studio.
- We ask all personal items are stored in the facilities in the studio, or the changing rooms downstairs to avoid any trip hazards.
- Ensure your phone is on silent during class, so you and other clients have the chance to be present.
Membership terms:
- Each membership is subject to a minimum commitment term of 3 or 6 months, depending on the membership type. The relevant commitment term is outlined at checkout. Refunds will not be offered within this period.
- Memberships are billed monthly and will auto-renew each month.
- As a member, you will be able to access the booking schedule 24 hours in advance of clients using class packs / introductory offers. The class schedule typically will open 8 weeks in advance.
- Members must cancel at least 12 hours before class to avoid a lost class credit.
- No shows will result in a £15 fee being charged to the member.
- Unlimited memberships may be paused twice per year, subject to approval. You can pause for a minimum of 1 week, and a maximum of 5 weeks on each occasion. Additional pauses (e.g. for injury or extended travel) may be considered at our discretion.
- Unused classes will not roll over to the following month.
- Where a membership includes complimentary or limited-use benefits (e.g. grip socks, discounts, guest passes), these are one-time offers unless otherwise specified. These benefits hold no cash value and may not be substituted, exchanged, or transferred.
Cancellation of membership:
- Once the minimum commitment period has passed, memberships may be cancelled by providing a minimum of 30 days’ written notice via email.
- If a membership is cancelled before the end of the initial commitment period, the remaining months will still be charged, unless in exceptional circumstances approved at our discretion (e.g. medical injury, relocation, etc.).
- Deleting your account, ceasing attendance, or removing the app does not cancel your membership. You must notify us in writing to initiate cancellation.
- Once cancellation is confirmed, you will retain access to services until the end of your current billing cycle.
Class pack terms:
- Class packs expire after their stated validity period. Expiry dates are shown at checkout. No extensions are available unless approved by us.
- Class credits not used within the expiry window will be forfeited.
- Classes can be booked up to eight weeks in advance.
- Clients using class packs must cancel at least 12 hours prior to the scheduled start time to retain the class credit. Cancellations made less than 12 hours before class will result in the class credit being forfeited.
No refunds will be issued for late cancellations or no-shows.
Payments:
- Payments are securely processed via our authorised provider. We do not store your full card details.
- It is your responsibility to ensure payment details remain up to date. Failed payments may result in suspension of access.
- We do not accept cash. All purchases must be made online or through our app.
- Memberships and class packs are non-transferable, non-shareable, and non-refundable, except where required by law or approved under these Terms.
Client responsibilities:
- You must be aged 18 or over to attend classes unless attending a designated class for younger individuals.
- You are responsible for ensuring that you are medically fit to participate in our classes. You agree to disclose any injuries, medical conditions, or pregnancy to your instructor before class begins.
- You agree to ensure all information provided when setting up your account is accurate, and you agree to keep it up to date.
- You agree to follow all instructions given by our instructors and staff, and to act respectfully toward others in the studio.
Health and liability:
- Clients acknowledge and accept that participation in fitness activities carries inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, muscle strain, and equipment malfunction.
- Clients are advised not to undertake strenuous physical activity without first seeking medical advice if they have concerns over their physical condition and wellbeing. Consult your medical professional to assess your physical condition to exercise.
- By using our services, you expressly assume all such risks, whether foreseen or unforeseen, including those arising from the actions of other clients, improper form, equipment adjustments, or misuse. You take full responsibility for any outcome unless caused solely by our proven negligence.
- You acknowledge that improper or unauthorised use of reformers or any studio equipment can result in injury or equipment damage. You agree to follow all safety instructions, participate in induction sessions where required, and notify staff if unsure how to operate any equipment.
- We are not responsible for any injury or damage arising from use of equipment contrary to our guidance, even if that misuse occurs in the presence of staff. Use is at your own risk at all times.
Intellectual Property
- All content on the website and in our classes—including branding, class names, images, and written content—is the intellectual property of Arch Pilates Limited or its licensors.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content without prior written consent.
Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of our services will constitute acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing Law:
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
